Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers.
Can I attend services if I’m not Orthodox?
Absolutely. All are welcome to attend our services and experience the beauty of Orthodox worship. We ask that visitors join us respectfully in prayer and reverence.
Do I need to make an appointment to visit the Skete?
While visitors are welcome at scheduled services, we ask that all non-liturgical visits be arranged in advance. Please contact us to schedule a time.
What is a Skete? How is it different from a monastery?
A Skete is a small monastic community focused on prayer and quiet work, often more secluded than a traditional monastery. Our life is rooted in simplicity, liturgy, and hospitality.
How can I submit a prayer request?
You may submit prayer requests through our contact form. All names will be commemorated during the Divine Liturgy and other services where appropriate.
Can I become a catechumen or be received into the Church here?
Yes. Please reach out to us to begin the conversation. We’ll arrange time for spiritual guidance, preparation, and instruction. Even though we’re a monastic community, we are a full Parish and do everything a Parish does.
How can I support the Skete?
You can support us through prayer, financial offerings, or in-kind gifts. Please contact us if you need help arranging your efforts to support the Skete.
