Celebrating the Feast Day of St. Panteleimon – 2026

On August 9th (liturgical date: July 27th), the St. Panteleimon Skete celebrated the feast day of its patron saint, St. Panteleimon the Great-Martyr. On this special feast day that was Sunday this year, the parishioners, their friends, and visitors filled the church for prayerful morning worship.

Fr. Maximos (Abbot), Fr. Justinian (Chaplain of St. John Cassian Chapel in Alabama), and Fr. Dcn. Stefan led those gathered through the Matins, the Divine Liturgy, and the procession around the church that followed the liturgy. Afterwards, the skete held a festival barbecue luncheon, all in honor of the skete’s great patron saint, St. Panteleimon. It was truly a joyous day as the church gave thanks to Our Lord and His saints amidst Florida’s summer heat and sweat. O holy Great-Martyr Panteleimon, pray unto God for us!
